Construction, manufacturing, hospitality, and healthcare are just some of the industries that this year’s Moreton Bay Business and Innovation Awards’ finalists represent. Sixty-one businesses have today been shortlisted in the annual awards with the winners set to be revealed in October.
Presented by Tourism and Events Moreton Bay in partnership with the City of Moreton Bay, these awards highlight the accomplishments and creative advancements of businesses throughout the city.
City of Moreton Bay Mayor Peter Flannery commended the finalists for their commitment, endurance and resilience in small business – the backbone of the City’s economy.
“Our finalists stand as shining examples of motivation, showcasing determination and superior performance,” Mayor Flannery commented.
“They have not merely endured challenging periods but have prospered and established fresh standards for achievement.
“These awards recognise the variety and robustness of our business sector, spanning emerging talents to essential priority industries detailed in our City's Economic Development Strategy.
“City of Moreton Bay persists in thriving economically, owing to the creativity and devotion of our local enterprises.”
Tourism and Events Moreton Bay CEO, Luke Edwards said the awards are the perfect opportunity for the city’s business community to stop and reflect on successes as the City enters a pivotal time

“The team at Tourism and Events Moreton Bay are heavily focussed on growing demand for tourism because this industry is known for its multiplier effect creating demand for businesses in many sectors construction, food and drink production, agriculture - many of whom are represented in this year’s finalists,” added Edwards.
The 13 categories, together with the esteemed City of Moreton Bay Business of the Year Award, emphasise excellence in diverse areas such as accessibility, customer service, advanced manufacturing, innovation, and corporate social responsibility.
A notable panel of 25 judges from both public and private sectors have offered their time to appraise the entries and face the difficult duty of choosing this year’s winners across the wide-ranging categories.

Winners will be announced at the Gala Awards hosted on Thursday 30 October at Eatons Hill Hotel. Tickets are now on sale.
