Become a Judge - Expression of Interest

Overview

The Moreton Bay Business & Innovation Awards acknowledge the contribution of businesses and individuals to Moreton Bay’s economy and the region’s profile as a vibrant centre of innovation and enterprise, providing a pathway to national and international award programs.

The awards are proudly presented by Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT) in partnership with City of Moreton Bay and our corporate sponsors.

Each member of the judging panel plays a key role in maintaining and growing the credibility of the awards program and assessing nomination entries in their respective categories.

The objective of the judging process is to evaluate each entry fairly and independently, assessing each nomination on its merit. Upholding high industry standards in each category, judges leverage their industry know-how, expertise and track record to assess each category to the best of their ability in accordance with the set criteria and in the spirit of the program.

Selection Criteria

Strong, demonstrated knowledge of respective judging categories and/or industry.

Roles & Responsibilities of a Judge

  • Help maintain the reputation and credibility of the Awards as the region’s leading business awards program
  • Attend and participate in the category criteria review
  • Attend a judge briefing meeting ahead of nominations being assessed
  • Assess all nominations on merit, based on the content and evidence provided in each submission, and scored according to the established criteria.
  • Provide constructive written feedback for each nomination during the judging process.
  • Attend and participate in finalist interviews a required

  • Award for Innovation Excellence – Monday 22 April 2024 – 9am-12pm
  • Award for Entrepreneur of the Year – Monday 22 April 2024 – 1pm-4pm
  • Award for Young Achiever of the Year - Tuesday 23 April 2024 – 11am-2pm
  • Award for Businesswoman of the Year - Wednesday 24 April 2024 – 9am-12pm
  • Award for Employee of the Year - Wednesday 24 April 2024 – 1pm-4pm
