This award will recognise a business within the Moreton Bay Region that are advancing and have a strong commitment to adopting and promoting access and inclusion to improve the lives of people with disability, as part of their day-to-day business operations.
Nominations are sought from businesses who can demonstrate an active consideration and incorporation of the needs of people with disability in all areas of the organisation’s operations. This means ensuring that people with disability have equal access to employment, training and development, products and services, premises, communication and information communication technology^.
Accessibility involves designing systems to optimise access. Being inclusive is about giving equal access and opportunities to everyone wherever possible.
